This instrument is designed to clamp vessels to reduce or completely block blood flow during surgery to allow the procedure to continue in a certain anatomical location where the blood is no longer able to flow through. These clamps feature an angled shanks as well as jaws calibrate at 5 mm intervals. Additionally, this instrument is available in three sizes: small, medium and large to accommodate a variety of patient sizes and a the wide variety of vessels that this clamp can be used on.

The miniature size of this clamp makes it more able to reach certain vessels but also makes it better suited for use in smaller patients. This clamp comes equipped with jaws calibrated at 5 mm intervals and is available in three different angles 30, 60 and 90 degrees.

Although this instrument could have a wide application on other vessels it is designed for use in clamping of the aorta.
