Cooley Occlusion Clamp curved jaws, jaws 3.6 cm long Cooley Occlusion Clamp is designed for use in cardiothoracic surgical procedures. This clamp can be used to clamp vessels to reduce or stop blood flow to prevent the patient from losing an excessive amount of blood. The jaws allow for firm grasp of the vessels but with reduced risk of crushing or bruising to the vessel wall. Additionally, this clamp features curved shanks and jaws giving them a contour more suitable for use in vascular surgical procedures. This instrument is available in two different lengths to accommodate different vessel sizes and positions.

Although this instrument could have a wide application on other vessels it is designed for use in clamping of the aorta. Cooley Aortic Aneurysm Clamp slightly curved jaws, jaws 7.6 cm, 10-3/4" (27.3 cm) Cooley Aortic Aneurysm Clamp is made to be used cardiothoracic procedures that require clamping of the aorta, specifically at or around the site of aneurysm. This clamp can be used to in temporary occlusion of the aorta to resect fusiform aneurysms as well as provide additional support and stability in aortic grafting procedures. The slightly curved jaws gives this clamp the ability to contour to and seamlessly move through the surgical field causing the least amount of trauma to the aorta itself and surrounding tissue.
