This instrument is a flat metal piece that tapers on one end and is slightly curved out of the plane of the handle. Osteotomes have the added benefit of being operated manually and thus the pressure can be adjusted readily as cuts are created and continued through bone. Additionally this osteotome does not have calibration lines. It is available in a vast array of sizes ranging form 4.0 mm to 50 mm and in either a straight or curved profile making them well suited for a wide array of surgical scenarios and surgeon preferences.

9-1/2" (24.0 cm) Hibbs Osteotome is made for use in neurosurgical procedures that require scraping or chiseling through bone. This osteotome features a thick handle for ease in gripping and maneuverability. The handle narrows into a slim neck which widens out again into a chisel type blade. Additionally the blade features a slight curvature increasing its ability to be used to strip or scrape away layers of bone and tissue. This instrument is available in ten sizes ranging from 6.0 mm to 38.0 mm and in either a curved or straight profile allowing it to be useful in a variety of patient scenarios and surgeon preferences.

6-1/4" (16.0 cm) US Army Pattern Gouge is a specialized instrument designed for removal of specific segments of bone. This gouge is designed similarly to a chisel but the blade portion features a curvature to it allowing it to be used to scoop up segments. The opposite end of this gouge has a rounded, flat end that can be used with a mallet to increase the driving force to effectively pierce through bone. This gouge is available in three sizes 6.0 mm, 12.0 mm and 18.0 mm making them well suited for larger bones in the spinal surgery and smaller ones for more delicate work on the skull.

swiss pattern, 5-1/8" (13.0 cm) Mini-Lambotte Osteotome is an instrument designed for use in cutting bone. This osteotome is crafted with a Swiss pattern. Osteotome offer significant advantages over drilling because they do not generate heat which can be damaging and also offer an increased level of tactile sensation. This instrument is available in a straight profile at twelve different lengths from 2.0 mm to 24.0 mm in 2 mm increments or in a set of nine. This instrument is also available in a curved profile in seven different lengths from 2.0 to 14.0 mm in 2 mm increments.
