The rotating shaft allows for a range of cutting angles, and the removable shaft is ideal for thorough decontamination and sterilization of the instrument. These instruments feature a unique combination: the small handles typical of Micro Kerrison styles, with the larger bite opening typical of Spurling-Kerrison styles. This is a perfect compromise for surgeons who prefer the small handles but do not want to lose the advantages of a larger bite opening. A bayonet-shaft version of the rotating rongeur is also available. The ceramic cut style offers additional benefits in the form of a black ceramic surface treatment which provides unparalleled hardness and durability.
