This clamp features jaws that are calibrated at 5.0 mm intervals but are still delicate enough for use in pediatric surgeries. This instrument is designed to keep a firm hold on the vessels that are being occluded but delicate enough not to bruise or tear the vessels thus reducing the amount of damage done to the patient. This clamp is available in a number of different styles that include straight or angled shanks and straight, satinsky, angled, or spoon-shaped jaws making this instrument highly versatile and useful in the operating room.

Although this instrument could have a wide application on other vessels it is designed for use in clamping of the aorta. This instrument is comprised of premium German operating-room grade stainless steel.

This instrument is designed to clamp vessels to reduce or completely block blood flow during surgery to allow the procedure to continue in a certain anatomical location where the blood is no longer able to flow through. These clamps feature an angled shanks as well as jaws calibrate at 5 mm intervals. Additionally, this instrument is available in three sizes: small, medium and large to accommodate a variety of patient sizes and a the wide variety of vessels that this clamp can be used on.

Calman Carotid Clamp angled shanks, long thin jaw, 25.0 mm, 4-1/4" (11.0 cm) Calman Carotid Clamp is ideally suited for use in cardiothoracic surgical procedures specifically in surgeries that require clamping of the carotid vessels. This clamp feature angled shanks to increase the easy of access to the vessels as well as having a long thing jaw that allows it to move between deeper layers of tissue without displacing anything or injuring other organs of vasculature. This clamp is strong enough to provide the occluding force necessary but also is gentle enough to keep the carotid walls intact with minimal injury or bruising.
