This instrument is ideally used in cardiothoracic surgeries to create and maintain a space between the ribs to allow clear access to the surgical field. These spreaders come with a traditional slight curvature to the arms giving them a contour that allows a more secure fit and hold. Additionally, this instrument is available in three sizes with varying spread 6", 8" and 10".

Rib Spreader stainless steel Finochietto Infant Rib Spreader is uniquely designed to fit the smaller size of an infant's rib cage white maintaining the same level of strength as the full sized instruments. This instrument features two arms which each have one windowed blade extending from them to allow a securing fit throughout the procedure. Additionally, this spreader is available with straight arms as well as curved to fit a wide variety of patient needs.
